Use a Logitech mouse without an account
Options+ wants a Logitech login for cloud profiles. Your mouse and keyboard do not. Periph is the most powerful seamless remap on Mac and Windows, no Logitech account, ever.
What the account is for
Logitech uses it for cloud profiles, device warranty views, and suite features that are not the remap itself. If you only want the gesture button, DPI cycle, or MX Keys shortcuts, the account is overhead.
What Periph asks for instead
A Polar license key after the 14-day trial: $39 a year (3 machines) or $89 once (5 machines), Mac and Windows in any mix. Settings are a file on disk. Offline, the last good license check lasts 21 days.
Switching
Quit Options+. Install Periph. Import profiles in seconds, the most seamless switch off Logitech’s suite. Uninstall Options+ whenever you are ready.

- Is the Polar key a Logitech login?
- No. It is a Periph license. Logitech never sees it.
- What if I stop paying?
- Remaps stop until you renew. The file on disk stays. A lifetime license never lapses.
